Two Intro Video clips created

For our TV version of WILD TIME, which we're still working on, we've created two intro clips.

Check them out and tell us which one is your favourite:

The First One is a more conservative one using classical music and colour-changing bird feathers!

The second One uses the current siganture tune and watercoloured pictures of animals WILD TIME host Thomas Janak has worked with

Are we changing for the better ? - Interviewees wanted

In Ireland many animal rights groups celebrated victories recently in areas of fur farming bans and more. Yet, while Scotland, a country similar in size and population, puts down about 450 unwanted animals a year, we are putting down over
10 000!

Is the pressue of the EU and the international communities forcing the Irish public to rethink their relationship with animals or are the Irish actually changing for the better?

WILD TIME wants to explore that in a 3 - 4 part series and is looking for experts and activists and regular Joe's to find out where we're at here on the green island !

Pls get in touch via facebook, email: or via phone 086 - 31 01 422

WILD TIME to return to the Digital Hub FM

WILD TIME, currently known as WILD TIME ONLINE returns to the Digital Hub FM.

From late November 2009 The Digital Hub FM on 94.3fm will return for 5 (or six) more Friday's before this years' broadcasting sessions will come to a close.

Because events about the environment and animal rights won't stop just because the broadcasting times of the Digital Hub are limited - the online version of the show will continue as soon as The Digital Hub FM is off air again.

Looking for a filmmaker in and around Dublin, who cares about animal rights and welfare. I would like to do a TV/Video version of WILD TIME as a pilot, which could be sent to different stations, perhaps they would like to sign it. City TV Dublin ikes my pitch but hasn't got any money, yet they would put out a pilot if the quality is good! At WILD TIME we all work for free, so I couldn't pay you any money (apart from material etc.) - pls get in touch. The format of WILD TIME is sound and, who knows, perhaps we can give eyes to a radio show!

WILD TIME ONLINE: Discussion - what's your take on euthanasia?

Years ago while studying holistic animal healing I worked at the vets and many an animal had to be euthanised due to illness or lack of quality of life.

Often, I thought about my mother who'd wasted away battling cancer for 5 years and I wondered if she would have wanted to be "helped along".

Since I am going to Japan for a month next summer, I did some research and found that there is a huge resistance towards euthanisation as most Japanese would feel that it is not fur us humans to decide when a life is over.

What's your take on it? Pls share your opinions

There are already answers coming in on our fan page on facebook

Interview with Ann Kingston and Louise Kings re-published

It was all just a misunderstanding - all is wel that ends well!

Hi Tomas,
> An editor hid that story as it was "insufficient for an article". I think he
> may not have noticed the audio part of it. I've unhidden it for you and put
> the publishing time as now so it will be back on the top of the newswire.
> LC

I hid your article and I must apologise for such ruff justice as I didn't notice the audio part. I was barking up the wrong tree when I hid it. Thanks to LC for unhiding it and showing that Indy hasn't gne to the dogs.

What are we in trouble for??

It has been brought to our attention that the recent WILD TIME interview with Louise Kings and Ann Kingston from the Irish Dog Journal has been removed from and by Indymedia - that's what you can read if you want to access the footage:

Sorry. This story has been hidden due to a possible breach of the editorial guidelines and is under review by the editorial group. If you think that this story should be allowed to remain on the newswire, please check our editorial guidelines and if you think that your article does not breach any of these guidelines, you can contact the editorial collective to make your case.

If we would know what we're in trouble for it would certainly help us?!
